Nah, I just commandeered a little side table, lol.

The first shot is 20 seconds exposure.

The other one is 25.

I added "mimic HDR" filter, upped the saturation and contrast a little, and the last one I went further to get that "posterized" look.

Picked up a Tokina 16.5-135mm yesterday for dirt cheap. Going to Gridlife tomorrow night. Should have some beauties.

Just small portion of pics from Gridlife! Weather was awful, but I still managed to get a few. Just got home a bit ago, but there will be more to come.

Capable camera, however if you're in the market for around that price range I'd grab a nicely used D90. The D90 has the internal auto focus motor which gives you much more flexibility in your lens choices.

I had both a D5000 followed by a D90, and it was a welcome upgrade.

D5100 has a better sensor than the D90. It also has the ability to autofocus during video, which the D90 lacked. Having the internal auto focus motor is very nice but the D5100 compensates with better features.

If you can find it, the D7000 is the same sensor as the D5100 but improves from the D90. But otherwise, having the D5100 is a-okay. I wouldn't trade up for quite a while.

When you buy lenses though - think down the line. Think far down the line. If you want to upgrade to full frame in the future contemplate FX lenses when you buy them.

Because of the crop factor, you want a 35mm to do street art (35 crop = 50 full) but if you want the Nikkor 50mm, go for the FX lenses, they're better and surprisingly cheaper.
