Most of you guys probably aren't following my build thread, but I finally got my SS kit on the car. Front bumper still needs paint obviously, but things are coming together. I cleaned the car real quick last night and took some pics before sun down.

Okay I'll bite:

Digital Kit:
Nikon D7000
>> Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5
>> Nikkor 18-105mm kit lens (to be replaced by 18-200mm ordered on eBay like 1 hr ago)
>> Nikkor 28mm f/2.8
>> Nikkor 35mm f/1.8
>> Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
>> Nikkor 60mm Micro f/2.8
>> Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6

Analog Kits:
Yashica TL Electro-X ITS
>> Kameron 35mm f/2.8
>> Yashinon 50mm f/1.4
>> Vivitar 135mm f/2.8
>> Yashinon 75-230mm f/4.5

Nikon FM2n
>> Kiron 28-210mm f/4.5 - 5.6
>> plus some Nikkor FX lenses above (28mm, 50mm, 60mm)

For a lens I use the Yongnuo YN568EX

No real major plans to upgrade to full frame anytime soon, the D7000 really does the job well and if I want to go "full frame" I'll use one of the analog cameras. I want to get a Yashica TLR one day and maybe some additional film / FX lenses though.

I have to say that the 70-300mm hasn't been what I had hoped and I've had it for years now. It's heavy and difficult to hand hold (and I have shaky hands so yeah that's fun). My getting the 18-200mm is more of a move to replace my kit lens and only bring out the 300 for truly necessary things. I used to shoot the moon with it but it was difficult because it was too heavy for the tripod head. That's been corrected but I still don't feel much of an attachment to the lens.

I was having focusing issues in that everything was either soft focus or not in focus. I turned off the VR on a tip from a pro and voila it worked very well - on a boat no less. I am torn about selling it on eBay or keeping it for a future eventuality whereby I may get a full frame. Decisions decisions.

Now you want a monster lens, the 75-230mm for my Yashica. Left side all the way in the back. The 70-300mm Nikkor is directly in front of it.

Out of date photo but the lens is in it.

yea its only decent below 150mm~ for handheld. that makes sense about it being too heavy for the tripod head

I got the shaky cloverfield hands too hahahaha

that yashica is a monster, need three hands and a mono stick just to steady it jk

Yeah the Yashica kit (sans the 35mm) were all my father's from when he was in the navy in 71/72/73 whenever he got it, probably 71 I want to say...Regardless yeah it's all big heavy gear. I want an anti-gravity mod for the damn lens.
