hmm it didnt sound like any nos kit was setup because the rpms were consistant ... I think the dude that setup the vid just put that in to make it seem like the balts wont be any competition even with mods

well they said the mustang was 3/4 throttle racing cuz hes breakin in a new engine, for some reason i believe it so they are just tryin to show that the gt beats fast cars not even at WOT...but still that ss seemed fast to me

Lots of inconsistent it this vid for sure. I really do not think that was a 330 cobalt. It might have been a 230 cobalt but still not that bad against GT.

If that balt had 330 WHP it would have eaten him alive, think how much those Stang weigh i think 3500 lbs the power to weight ratio would be on the cobalts side.

cobalt didnt have 330. stang weighs around* 3250 + drivers weight. he had what...375 hp? if he was going WOT he would rape the cobalt. i really think he was going 3/4 throttle and the cobalt was a lot closer to stock than 330. just my .02

Correct me if im wrong but the cobalts stock injectors can't even support 260 whp let alone 330 whp. And as far as i can tell nobodys found direct swap replacments. And for a cobalt making that kinda power it sounded like the stock exhaust. Know why? Cause i couldn't hear even just a muffler on that cobalt. I know i wouldn't be putting down 330 hp on that stock exhaust. At best that was a cobalt with a cold-air and a 50 shot or a cold air and smaller pulley. I think that mustang was slow for all the mods it has. The guy is just trying to justifiy why the hell a cobalt is hanging on to his far from stock mustang.

have any of you guys ever sprayed an engine? i have, what the hell does "the rpm didnt increase they stayed the same"

NAWWZZZZZZZ isnt like the movies where u push a button and the wehole world blurs around you and u hit supersonic speeds, its just like any damn power adder, nothing special, he coulda sprayed, you cant verify that by the sound of the engine especially when all you hear is the intake

and if thats a supercharged mustang gt you think a stock cobalt would keep up like that?? i vote spray

I don't think the SS was spraying or had NOS and was running stock + intake, think about this.... if the GT was only going 3/4's throttle like he said he was .....boost fully kicks in ONLY at WOT. You can watch a gradual decline in boost if it's at 3/4 throttle even on my SS. I think this guy is full of ****, the reason why he didn't do WOT is because his car will massivly **** up without a tune.

That GT driver is a troll... The reason why the GTO beat him was because the GT couldn't go WOT and was working all motor (hence the GT losing since he couldn't kick in full boost)

An SS can work a GT all day long stock for stock if it's SS > 04 GT or Lower. I think to pull ahead slighly he would punch WOT for 2 seconds and let go and do it again... if we got a good look at this gauges this would support my theory..

if that cobalt is stock, or close to it, there is no way that mustang is putting down 375 hp and giving it WOT. he's definitely babying it.

how many of you have raced a mustang GT 99-04? i have personally watched 2 races between a basically stock SS/SC (driven by one of the better drivers ive seen. ran 9.5ish in the 1/8th) and a mildly bolted-on 02 GT putting down about 250. from a 40mph roll the GT had it by 1/2 car length. from a 20mph roll the GT had it by 1.5 car lengths.

my point? even if the GT driver sucked at driving, there is no way a stock or near stock SS/SC was that close to him if he was going WOT. either the GT wasnt going 100% or that cobalt is putting down a lot more power. personally i think its the first one. listen, your SS/SCs are impressive little cars, but not a single one of them driven by anyone is going to stay that close to a blown GT making 375hp if he's really driving it at WOT. thats just the way it is.

Helty you like Mustangs thats why they won the races you seen. We have been over this many times.

Stock GT vs Stock SS = SS

And unless the bolt-ons on the GT you speak of included 4.10 gears, LT's, cam or S/C the GT wouldn't have won especially from a roll.

My SS/SC is 100% stock and I can hand a GT it's ass without a problem.
