IF I HAD A TRUCK IT WOULD WITHER BE A 2500 HD WITH A DURAMAX LIKE IN THE VIDEO OR A DODGE RAM 2500 WITH THE CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. BOTH BAD ASS TRUCKS!!!

You can order them with 2wd hardly anyone does though

true.... the old 7.3s didnt make that much power from stock but ive seen some with over 1000000km on them still running strong, most of them had a few oil leaks, but whatever, i know some of those guys that traded in for the new 6.0 and one guy blow his motor at 120000km and lots other having probs with injectors and other ****. the 6.0 IMO do sound the best when chiped, exhaust, etc....they sound like a jet engine, even when idling the exhaust sounds sweet. but they do have reliablty probs. i am more of a chevy guy so i like the duramax's and the allison is probally one of the best trannys. has anyone ever heard a cummings 5" straight pipe?? lol probally the loudest trucks out there besides monstar trucks....

i didnt know you could mod deisels
I was in SD for almost 2yrs, you don't wanna mess with any of the diesel trucks. They're crazy. all the torque they put down stock, then add a Bully Dog Chip and that adds up to another 100-130 ft lbs and hp...Crazy

did your bros s10 weigh over 9000lbs?? if that duramax was in a 1/4 truck it would probally just twist the frame or something.... i dont know, i was pretty impressed. those trucks make lots of torque and nothing slows them down

the 6.0s are junk.... The 7.3 is better! We building a 06 Cummins at our shop and its gonna be close to 2000ft. lbs. and close to 900hp! Huge turbo, E/I, new intake and exhaust manifolds, water/meth, computer tuning, and built tranny!

Hi folks -

I question the h/c aspect of the vette - a well driven Z06 stock can hit very low 12's and run 116 traps.

A h/c z06 can easily run low 11's with the right setup.

Impressive to see a huge truck run like that, but it is not going to outrun many lightly modded Z's that are well driven.

Thanks for the link.

best regards -

Not everyone can make a car run like it does in Road and Track.

EIther way that DUramax is freaking nuts. I myself wouldnt' own one specifically to race. Perhaps to own and use as a tow vehicle / tire fryer. It'd be great to jsut roll into it with a trailor behidn me and pull on a car that thinks he's got somthign special.

IMO though, I want a cummins. Or maybe that Merc Deseil that's comign in the lesser Rams, supposedly.

Cause it is C5 Z06. With the LS2, that is about the right times for that.

The dodge is runnin a stock tranny, however it has billet input shaft, tq converter, valve body, flex plate, an tranny pan (bigger better cooling). Also the truck ate its second ATS turbo this week!! They both came apart on the truck an ATS is paying for that haha. Now it goin TT or jus lil bigger than the ATS Auroa 5000?

oh...i see yeah the dodges auto trannys arnt very good stock, unless you build them for the abuse. alot of dodge guys usally run the 6spds around here, but they cant shift as fast as an auto. but they dont drag race..... their trucks are just 4x4 monstars..... but most of the chevs and fords are autos.....the allison is a good tranny, i dont know about fords, never did reseached on their trannys..

nothing like the raw power of a properly tuned and modded diesel... Hp and Tq monsters considering the displacement.

Hi Swizz -

A C5 Z06 has an LS6. C6's have the 402 (LS2) and C6 Z06's have an LS7.
