Alfa Romeo Brera X-Cept
I hadn't done a chop in a while, so I figure I'd give it a try.
It all started when playing when I saw that the Brera was in Need For Speed: Carbon. I started wondering, what if Alfa Romeo actually came out with a competitor in the sport compact market. Obviously, the price of the Brera a little out of our price range, but its besides the point.
So I set off. It was hard finding a starting point. I personally love the look of the Brera and was short on ideas on how to improve the look. One thing that did bug me is the three light design in the main grille. It just looked like a three-eyed-fish. So it had to go.
I replaced it with two recessed can style headlights, that protrude past the triangular openings. Next, I added a array of LED's for the rest of the empty space towards the grille. I also added LED turn signals. Hey, its a concept, so why not
Next I turned to the main grille. The multi-cross-hair grille may work on a luxury sports car, but not on a sport compact. Replacing it is a wide open grille, with a deep bezel.
Next I turned to the bumper. Whenever I do a design, I try to incorporate a bit of aggressiveness to the car. I accomplished this by creating an upward arc, an almost evil grin, to the top of the bumper. I also lowered the bottom of the bumper to give it that nice tall look.
Lastly, I added in the FMIC to let any potential adversary know, yeah, its got a turbo
So without further ado, here is the final chop. I call it the X-Cept. I did it in an almost magazine print ad layout, so let me know what you think
