I saw that in a magazine. Didn't give it a second look. Thought it was just like a Super 7 or one of those track cars. But man, that thing hauls some serious ass.
Not surprising it beats the bike though. Bikes are slower through corners usually than cars. There is a sling shot effect where the cars gain in corners, and the bike gains on the straight due to its acceleration. Still, it wasted that silly crotch-rocket!
Too bad it'll likely never be sold in North America! That would be a great summer toy!

I posted a link to that car's website a few weeks back and no one posted anything else. I love that car. It WILL BE SOLD HERE, They're just now accepting orders, At 35,000US base price, Thats one seriously cheap alternative to the Ferrari Enzo. Oh and There will be one w/ the LSJ engine in it too.
Here's the link to the US website.
Here's my first post for this car.

that thing is a beast...i would love to have one of them...but not for 35,000...that seems a little high being that theres really nothing in it except for a 300 hp motor...if money wasnt an issue...id own one tomorow

If I had that kind of money for a toy.... after seeing that show it would be #1 on my list... New Z06 being #2... Aprilia RSV1000 (Much cheaper... but hell right now I cant even afford it !
) #3
Now I'm curious as to the actual price...
Too bad we still can't buy it here though, I think it would sell like hot cakes

The Ariel the name harks back to an old British motorcycle manufacturer is priced from Ł19,922 ($37,350), but our road-legal test car would trouble the checkbook to the tune of Ł26,244 ($49,202). It would be easy to spend more than Ł35,000 ($65,000) on a 300-hp car. Most cars are sold in Britain but Saunders has already shipped rolling chassis to customers in California, Texas and Washington and is "close to signing a deal to export the car to the U.S. market."
