Exclamation Car fire

Reported car fire @ aprox. 1015.

As we came around the bend in the road nearing the scene, heavy black smoke was visible. SUV found fully involved.

Heres the aftermath










Do you think the Nav still works?? lol

All that interior fabric and plastic was just extra weight. This is the fuel economy edition.

I love going to car fires. It give that sudden adrenaline rush without the salvage and overhaul at the end.

Appears to have started right in the passenger area, judging from the extreme concentration of heat in that area. Would also explain why the back of that Honda wasn't melted, unless that was parked there after the fact. I do miss the heat.

yea looks like and insurance job or couldnt pay and said **** it dont want repo to take might as well burn it lol

Yeah, it definitely originated in the interior as that was completely gone. It had just spread to the engine bay as we were arriving on scene.

The honda element did survive without any marks at all, and it HAD been parked there the whole time.

Doubtful....the owners are a middle aged asian couple living in Lexington Ma....they most likely have money lol

That it does...my former department still uses straight water, but a couple others in the area use CAFS. Makes for a much quicker job using it.

haha o yeah! 2 weeks in and Ive had 2 fires. Car fire this week, and 2 alarm house fire last week

In between those two we did a live burn at Hanscom Air Force Base's burn tower.

yeah they will keep using water til they get an f150 with a magnesium radiator core support and it lights up like fireworks when the water hits.
