cobalt ss suspension?

I recently bought a 2007 Cobalt SS for my first car and have been loving the heck out of it. But I've noticed that my suspension is really rough. Is this how it comes? Is it supposed to be like that or is there something wrong with my suspension and do I need to get it looked at? thanks

Well if you mean stiff than that's how they are. I guess you have to get used to it. I believe the stiffness is a "sport suspension"

And im guessing you havent changed anything. So yeah start checking your link tie rods, struts, stuff like that and replace as necessary or just upgrade it all together

Just posted on the other one, but I'm sure the shocks/struts are gone by now and that's not doing you any favors for ride quality.

Maybe it already has an aftermarket suspension installed. Or worn out like andrew says.

This past weekend I had my control arm bushings and stab links changed, and that made a HUUUGE difference. No more clunks whenever i drive over a crack in the road, or pull into a parking lot, or drive over a sewer etc...

The car's suspension is just stiff overall, and it's something you will have to adjust too. But do the checks everyone has recommended. First thing I would do is change the stab links though. Its easy, and cheap, and could solve a lot of the noise issues you're havin.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

You wouldn't believe how bad my trailing control arm bushings were at only 70k miles on my Ion Redline. Could feel the wheels moving around whenever I got on and off the throttle.
