LSJ's are bad about Crankcase Pressure under boost. Having that filter helps prevent things like the dipstick shooting out.
I've only had the S/C since January... I was an L61'er in a G5 before that.

No, you probably wouldn't notice a difference.

I'm not a huge fan of putting coatings on the blower. It doesnt allow the heat to dissipate as quickly as a blower with out a coating.
That's why you get it Ceramic Coated with Thermal Dispersant.

You won't see your dipstick sticking out of the tube with Oil all over the engine bay.

There won't be a noticeable performance difference.

Yeah, I remember seeing you on the G5 board... but like I said these have been around a while. I guess if you don't pay attention to the other Models, you wouldn't know that.

Yeah, for real.

The proper way to do it, would be to upgrade the Breather on the back of the Valve Cover & on the Intake to a -10an fitting, and then run -10an line between them. That's how they did it in the Build Book, IIRC. And even better way would be to hook up a Vacuum pump to the port on the valve cover with a pressure switch, so that when your boost hits 10psi or so, it'll start sucking air. Crankcase Scavenging. Pulling solid vacuum in the crankcase has all kinds of good benefits. Even more so with boost.

One thing I would recommend NOT doing, is just putting a filter on that fitting on the back of the Valve Cover. That's a real easy way to get the back of your block covered in Oil/Sludge. Ask me how I know.

I have been just running a Filter on the back of the Valve Cover until yesterday. I've now got a hose running off the valve cover to a Catch Can. I'm working on finding a pump, ATM. Looking to have a -10an fitting welded into the back of the Valve Cover, and then run a -10an hose from the valve cover to the pump.

I visited Lawrence back in 2004 for a football game.

Ugh. Cold.
