Obviously didn't pay that much.

I can't tell you all how long I've been after an Evo. To finally have one is just awesome.

Weather is crappy today. I'll post more pics on a nicer day.

It's an 08 GSR with the SSS package. 37k miles octane blue. Bone stock. :-)

Love that color! Proper Evo mod FTW! Got the right gear box too! IIRC the evo 10 does not have a 6 speed manual w/clutch only the 5 speed like in the O.P.'s GSR!

Thx guys. I'm really happy. I punched it in the rain today and the car just bolted. No spin, no fuss. Just pure acceleration. So awesome!

Added a couple more photos to the OP. So far I can say the wing definitely blocks the rear view but ill get over it.

When it stops being crappy out I plan to clay bar and wax the car. Will update this thread once that happens. This car is truly beautiful when clean.

Thx! From my understanding it stands for Sight (HIDs) Sound (Rockford Fosgate System) Spoiler (Wing of course).

Nice but I'd still rather have an Evo 9 or 8

Well I'm far from an expert on these cars but the bit of research I found pretty much says...

The 8s and 9s are lighter and faster (in a straight line). The X handles better (probably due to the AYC that the 8s and 9s don't have) and is supposed to be faster in the twisties. Obviously the 4G63 is a beast of a motor and I don't think the new 4B11 is as strong. The ride quality is far superior in the X (in my opinion at least). You don't get the back breaking bumps like you do in the 8s and 9s. The brakes on the X are better. The calipers are larger as well as the rotors (proably to at least compensate for the weight increase).

I wanted a 9 but trying to get financing on a car that old is pretty much asking for some serious rapage unless you have a lot to put down. I only had about $2k to put down. I also REALLY wanted the Octane Blue and you can only get it on the X as far as I know.

I'm sure there is a TON more. I know there are a lot of douche bags that don't think the X is a, "Real Evo" and there are plenty of back and forth arguments on the 8 and 9 vs. the X that would rival the LSJ vs LNF debates here.

I honestly just really liked the car more for personal reasons that didn't necessarily have to do with performance. I am so happy I finally got into an Evo. I have tried about 4 times to buy one since 2003 and it just never worked out. I can't wait to put some snow tires on it and drive through piles of snow. I've already gotten to experience the awesome wet surface handling.

Oh yeah... LNF > LSJ

They are actually bigger than the Cobalt wheels. The car is so big they do look smaller though.
