Firemen, Post Pics of your Trucks

Heres a pic of my truck. its a 1989 Spartan, Engine 99 in Westchester County for Ossining Fire Deparment. One of the biggest all volunteer departments in NY state. But here she is Engine 99 and Monitor Hose Co 4.

Is that your only house? in the department? If so clean trucks, we are getting a new one this or next year. This is what my deparment has

Engine 96 - Snowden House
Engine 97 - Cataract House

And yes. 221 covers the North end of town (most-businesslike area, and that station is huge), 223 and 225 respond together to cover the middle and south areas because it's way more residential and half of the south end (where I live) is just woods haha

Yeah same here, we have box numbers

1-1-2, 2-1-2, 1-1-1-1, 1-1-3, 2-1-3, 1-1-4, 2-1-4, 6-6, and we have others, but my box numbers are 1-1-3, 2-1-3, 1-1-1-1, and 6-6, but 6-6 is for everyone, 6-6 is general alarm and everyone get the f*** off your a** and get there

haha yea that's what we have but it's a "Task Force" call in whichever station's local it is. And then if the sh*t really hits the fan it's a "all companies in service" and basically every piece is sent out

Cops tend to let you get out of stuff. I got pulled over for doing 55 in a 25 down the shore in March at like 11pm, no one was on the streets other than me and the cop who was hiding and he was talking to me about the FD and I just got a seatbelt violation (like $42 instead of $300 and 3 points or something). I've been pulled over for my tint 4 times and I've only gotten warnings. I just keep my badge with me in my wallet so whenever they ask for my license they see it. Other cool stuff is like if we're all out to dinner on a duty crew wearing our fire shirts, we'll get free food or big discounts sometimes. But the best thing hands-down is the respect you get from people for it. Especially being 19, everyone thinks I'm just "some punk kid" but when they find out I'm a firefighter they give me a whole new level of respect. There's a ton of awesome stuff with being a FF. And best of all you get to look cool wearing the gear and ride around on big red shiny trucks haha

That's awesome man, congrats. Refinery stuff is pretty intense. I took a class on fire detection and suppression systems and we had a whole section on refineries and it was nuts haha
