got a new mod!
lol, it actually sounds better than I thought it would, just really loud. lol. but it's a lot cheaper than doing a full exhaust, with the same effect. top end is pretty crazy, low end is gone. lol.
yea, it's still stock exhaust when it's closed. I only plan on using it at the track, or if I think I lose to someone on the street by like half a car or something. then I'll open it up and beat 'em. lol.
that sounds like complete ass, and your not gaining anything but the ricers laughing at you now, and why a heat exchanger? your stock
on a diff car, on this car no, it actually slows you down down low

I was always under the impression that an exhaust dump was more for turbo applications....and in fact hurts performance on a car like ours
as they tend to gain torque by removing any pressure back on the turbo, and without proper exhaust velocity, we tend to lose it.

well, I'm not gonna ride around with it open all the time. it's only for track use. and I think that the car heat soaks too much even stock. I'm going to the track this friday to prove my gains. I'll run with the cutout closed first of course, and then with it open, to see if there are any gains, which I'm betting there will be. and I bet my top end will be better with the heat exchanger too. I trap just as high in the 1/8th as a stage 2 cobalt, just my top end heat soaks so quickly that I only gain 18mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4mark.
