i wasnt even thinking about that
based on the speed that the airbag is deployed...it would probably go clean through the drivers skull

The DVD Navigation unit is the Pioneer Avic D1. Check out best buy. They retail for about 1,800 but there are some rebates going around I here and don't forget to shope around. Custom intallation is required for this unit becaue of the size. The tailights were sanded clear coated then sprayed black ( not sure w/ what b/c I didn't do it myself) then coated again. the wheels check out http://performanceplustire.com/. Great company!

Correction! The interior with all the carbon is Gravana's car not manny's. I would like to keep my car for the most part street legal. However, I am getting some carbon work done in the next month or too as well.

When you removed the bowtie on the wheel did you have to take the center piece that goes over the airbag off? Is it stickered on? Plastic snap in? Please advise.

Hey Guys,

As for the steering wheel, we removed the bowtie badge first. It was simply clipped in. Then, we dremeled out the circular section where it was and the gauge fit almost perfectly. As for having the gauge go through your head after the airbag goes off... impossible, we disconnected all of that good stuff. Also, the passenger side airbag was disconnected to ensure an entire dash wasnt going to be flying up if the airbag went off.

And as for the dash cracking if you hit the brakes, not likely. The carbon on the dash is double-layered could take a beating. True, tons of time invested, no doubt, but we made sure it was high-quality to.

For more info, check out www.gravanatuning.com. Gravana will soon be offering these same custom carbon fiber upgrades for your Cobalt, so stay tuned.

I like the black one

Not a fan of the "Boston" at all. The interior is just ... wrong.

I bet that Boston Acoustics Cobalt has a sick system in it. Probably Z6 components in the front, probably their Pro Series 6x9's all powered with their GT42 amp and the subs with the GT28. Man I wish I still had my system. I had a similar setup in my cavalier with Z6 components in the front bi-amped by the GT42 (100w x 4 at 2ohm) and a JBL Power Series 12" sub powered by the GT28 (1250w x 1 at 2ohm). Manny u got one sweet SS. I LOVE IT!!
