Had a ricer moment...
So I'm sitting at home doing nothing with the engine apart in the car, waiting for tomorrow to go get a few parts and wrap up the car. I had a ricer moment while cleaning some parts and I decided to paint something. Started with the valve cover, then I did the fuel rail. Pics . . . .

Also, to learn, start with flat black, its painfully easy to do right, it dries fast and hides your mistakes very well. If you decide later that you don't like it, it also works as a good primer
Try painting some small stuff with basic $1 spray paint to get a feel for it, you'll be painting all kinds of **** in no time at all. Learn to tape stuff up correctly and it gets even easier.

I'm not one for paint on a car like this, but the valve cover was looking like ass from getting **** on it and me not cleaning it regularly, and it didn't want to come clean. I don't have time to take it to work and sandblast it, so this was the only easy solution... I will have to run it by my mod judge (my buddy Danny) and see what he thinks. He has an inner ricer as well, so he will probably tell me to keep it.
lol its me again muhahahha im sneaky like this...im sleepin ova again i prac. live here, sry u couldnt come over joe lmao we know how u think

Yeah, I think it will look pretty ok with the fuel rail done too, I'm hoping it looks ok.
bump for more input...
Has anyone painted the fuel rail before?

i say just cover it up with some paint that matches your bay.
black is too overly done, especially with a car that isn't actually black.
you did a good job painting it though, but yea, its just too plain and it sounds like you're thinking that too.
idk that its rice, its not that bad, but not that good either :P

We all have our ricer moments sometimes, I have a very powerful inner ricer, he escapes once in a while.
