have no fear guys. i haven't abandoned the project. it's coming along nicely. i started shaping today and ran in to a little snag. the material im using to shape it dried in the back of the housing and the front lens part first, sealing off the middle from any air. so instead of drying it just turned in to a goopy mess. repaird that. i'll have to wait another couple days before starting again. but it's looking sweet.

I know you use to be able to turn that light completely off, no idea if you still can. It probably has something to do with that.

had to take the picture far enough away you can't see the material. but still see the headlight. i don't wanna keep you guys in the dark lol.

That's kinda what it looks like, then he shaved it down with something. I would have thought that vacuum forming would have been the easiest. Actually could have made a whole molded lens that way.
