Hit & Run w/pics

What a beautiful day to celebrate independence day, and my 3 years in the service. To walk outside this morning and find this...

it shouldn't be as much as 2000, i had similar damage and they replaced the whole front end, hood, radiator suppoerts and a bunch of other stuff for like 1700.

the trailer hitch of the truck that backed into me punched a perfect square hole in my bumper, bent my hood just like yours, cracked my crille, and f-ed up the impact foam.

Bend the metal on the hood straight and it should take the pressure off the latch so you can get the hood open...

I manage a body shop and ran the damages in the photo through our estimating software which is the exact same program that most insurance companies use. So yeah, it is going to be about 2000.

More importantly, if your radiator support was actually replaced, that by itself is about $2000 because you must replace the upper approns and rails with it.

well, everything is closed today so i wont find out anything until monday. I have a $500 deductible, so I'm going around my apartment tonight with a flashlight to try and find out who did this. So they can come up with the $500 because I sure as hell dont have it. I JUST bought a house and moving in on the 12th, i just paid the $1200 deposit on the house, another $1200 for the first month payment, and the $800 for this months apartment rent. thats not including electric, water, cable, phone, car, insurance etc. im an E-4 in the air force, i dont make ****.

you're most likely right, the 1700 was probably after the deductible which was 500. i can't remember.

Yep. If your Bill is $2K and you or your friends can talk to the owners and get them to bill the Insurance company for an extra $500 you should be good to go...

I'm sure it's not legal but a little extra for paint and an extra hour or two of labor and $500 is easy to make up...
