you guys arent seeing the true image here. the engine inside the best is soo hard to keep contained, that he had to put 1" bolts throught the hood just to tame it. the other dimples is from the monster trying to break its way out. (or the squirrel falling off the wheel and hitting the ceilling)
That's awesome. I think I am going to put a cardboard hood on my next ricer, because it's even lighter than carbon fiber, and cardboard has a lot of fibers too. Should I use twist-ties to hold it on, or are hardware bolts like this guys going to be good enough? Then I can use a tube sock as an air filter, and take out the turn signals to save weight and just use my hands instead. And for exhaust are you guys thinking about just cutting it off after the cat, or using a pabst can as a resonator to get that real down home sound? And how much oil do you need to add to the gas to get the mixture right?
