I've had my car for 6 years today
6 years ago today I bought my car with 14,104 miles. As it sits it has 71,877 miles on it. Well I decided after 6 years its time for an anniversary gift
So what did I do? I bought it a nice ZZP built 2.1. Gen 3 block, Carillo rods, JE pistons, ZZP NBS, ATI damper, ported head, supertech springs, ZZP S2 turbo cams. The thing is, the engine came with a car hooked to it lol, but the engine has about 2,700 miles on it. I have pulled the 2.1 out of that car and last night pulled my stock 2.0 with Euthanasia ported head, zzp 82# springs, and S2 SC cams out of my 05 and am swapping them. The stock motor will go in the new car to be my winter/daily on a stock blower and E85, and the 2.1 will go in my red redline along with an s259et setup and hopefully an F40 6-speed, and of course on E85, as that is all that has been in the car for the last 4 years.
Here are a few pics
Don't get confused by which engine is which, as I've swapped the red valve cover on to whichever motor I was pulling at the time so I don't scratch my nice white/gold flake one.
Red 05 last night

Gray 07 last week

Pulled out

The 2.1

Both engines. 2.0 up close, and 2.1 against the wall. Silly 2JZ on the stand.

After 6 years its time to step it up

Thanks guys!
And yes a couple of Ecotecs would pull a premium 5 months before winters over is what I'm thinking
I have all the turbo parts in a large box next to the gray car, just need to get the new S259et
Hoping to have the gray 07 driving within a couple weeks. Thanksgiving is my goal.

Thanks man. Should be a fun setup! Gonna get the 07 running and all together then move the 05 over into my spot where the 07 is at now so my friend can park his 335i in his spot when winter hits, then over winter I can get it all together and work out any kinks I have so its ready for spring.

Nastyfastnx aka Saturnredline07. I have gotten rid of all the red paint in the interior and engine bay and took off the body kit besides the front bumper for now. And yes the lambo doors are also off. He had parted some stuff off of the car but I have replacement everything, just waiting for my friend to paint the hood and trunk and it is ready cosmetically
Good luck with the build infra. I hope i can make a thread like this for my balt in some years
Ah, so you bought Nastyfastnxs car. Glad to hear that you de riced it. It was a sweet car other than the lambo doors and overly bright interior.
Did he happen to include the competition package wheels with the car? If so, are you interested in selling them? PM me if you are willing to let them go

Thanks man, I'll make sure to post updates in another thread when I start working on the red one!
Thanks Jonathan!
When I was contemplating buying the gray car from Jason, I knew what my plan was, but I went back and forth in my head on if I wanted to get that serious with the car or not. So far I think I made the right choice, hopefully I feel the same way in spring lol. It will be nice to have a nicer car to drive in the winter and when my red car is down though, as I used to have a 97 SC1. This one will still be plenty of fun to drive when I'm not driving the red one
Thanks dude! I got into this one right, so I couldn't turn it down. He was very good to deal with and included tons of extra parts with the car.
That is really cool! Same "anniversary" lol. Glad to see someone else is still going strong after 6 years! I know Zrated said that he has had his car a little over 6 years as well.
I will be over in your neck of the woods a couple times next year! Thinkin proving grounds and maybe B4B.
I've definitely got a little more subtle taste, so I got rid of the red everywhere and the underglow and whatnot, along with the lambo doors (one of the hinges was bent anyways). I am excited to get the hood on this thing and get the new trunk painted and clean it up and buff it. The paint job wasn't the best quality, but the color is really nice. I'll have my gloss black powdercoated stock wheels on it for the summer which will look nice.
The only wheels that came on it where some polished stock ones that were bomb canned black, so I'm going to strip them and paint them a little nicer, then mount the winter tires on them.
Also, got the engine in the car this weekend. Gotta finish a few things and possibly start it tonight!
Thanks Jonathan!
