damn guys i feel for all of you right now....just shitty luck with these cams yall got...did jbp even check them out first like run them on a cobalt....or is that why there was a group buy on them cause the extra money you saved would have to be put towards fixing all kinds of problems.

JBP says that they have installed these in numerous other vehicles, 2.2's and 2.0's...Hopefully fixing Dan's head issues will make it all better.

Guess what everyone, I finally have some good news! The machine shop has completed their "dissecting" and the problem is two broken valve springs in cylinder #2. Thats it! What a sigh of relief. If all goes well, I could potentially have the car back for this weekend, keeping the fingers crossed still though.

LOL!! That's some damn good news. Hope it all works out, that could be a nice Easter present huh??

I just hope that won't be a trend with JBP's valve springs, cause I have a set of them coming also. Speaking of which, I am STILL waiting for my stuff to come in. They said it was sent on the 20th for cryin out loud

Anything through GM is going to be hella expensive man. Talk to some peeps and see what they can do, maybe you'll get the hook up. You should let me borrow your exhaust till your whip gets fixed, this way it stays nice and warm and doesn't get all lonely and what not..LMAO!

I know, what a rip! I found that out a few months ago when I curbed mine, I got one of a member here for $100 shipped. Best of luck with the repairs there and that axle thing is crazy haha, how could it not need to be replaced haha.

Yea, great news. I went from bent vales to cracked head to bent valves and valve springs, to just valve springs. Hopefully, it stays that way haha.

Yeah, do they make thier own springs?? I would not be too sure of them if that was the case. Now if another company like Ferra makes them for JBP, thats different.

I believe JBP makes them, since JBP sells Ferra valve springs as well on their site. I could be wrong though.

I'll bet a dollar those springs are actually Bates ESGV0001. I wish I could get an answer though from them.

If they are Bates springs, does that mean anything as far as quality goes?? Last thing I need is for any of them to fail on me. My money is tight enough as it is.

I tried calling them today, but they didn't answer. I have e-mailed them about it as well and they responded. Basically sounds like their saying it is install error, but I don't think that they realize that they are broken and not re-usable. I still haven't gotten my cam core refund yet either, they received them 3 weeks ago now. I have e-mailed them numerous times about that as well, so I guess I'll just have to call them to get it cleared up.

Yeah, I don't understand how you can install them springs improperly. Any results on the cams being looked over and tested? Matt said he was looking into Manley springs. I hope JBP isn't going to turn this into a huge issue with returning them. Hell, they sent out my stuff on the 20th and I JUST got em today. Or at least that's what I hope the parcel is. lol...

The cams were not the issue according to the machine shop, just the valve springs. I called JBP and they didn't answer and they never returned my phone call either. I would like to return them for a refund, but who knows how that will work. Matt talked to Manley about getting some SuperTech or any valve springs, but he couldn't get anything. So I gotta wait to see to order from a vendor here, put stock ones back in, or see what JBP says.

Damn dude...Turbotech has the Ferrea springs which need titanium retainers with em, but them ***** are pricey...You talking like 670 shipped WITH their 5% discount which ends TODAY...F-that...I'm pretty sure my parts just got in today too, now I'm gonna have to send them springs back out..I'm also sure they are gonna tell me that you just got a bad batch and there's nothin they will be able to do for me unless mine break also..That would be some ****
