LOL, they did something wrong there. it had internals, a downpipe cut out, meth and ALOT of other mods. it wasnt a stock engine that blew or anything. it also sounded like he was using a stock fuel pump. which is a big no no in the MS3 world.

For anyone that doesn't want to read through that here's some crib notes:

- car had the living hell modded out of it (and potentially a custom tune which he won't seem to address)
- beating the **** out of the car, did a NLS from 3-4, motor blew all to hell (there's some nice pics)
- user complaining about the motor and warranty, trying to file lemon law and blaming Mazda (who may be partially at fault with the number of failures they've had on the MS3 motors but still)

But even then, all motors are going to have their issues. You can't nail quality of a vehicle based on one motor going boom. I bet more LSJ's have gone boom than you will ever see a MS3 go boom.

The thing was modified alot and had a custom tune from what I read.... Any car can go boom when you do that. And I agree I see a **** ton of ms3's out there and most people I talk to have no issues at all!

Do a search on their forums (and other MS forums) and read up on the concerns people have with the MS3, this definitely is not an isolated incident. The odd thing is a number of them have reported the motor blowing under normal driving conditions (which I believe is when the LNFs that have blown experienced their issues) and not while they are pushing it. There's no warning it just randomly blows a cylinder, throws it through the block and that's all there is to it.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the quality of the MS3 I'm simply saying it's NOT an isolated incident. It's a mechanical piece of machinery, there's always a potential for failure whether you've modded it or not but people thinking this is a single case because it was modded to hell also isn't accurrate.
