Me whooping a 97 talon TSi

06 SS S/C vs 97 TSi FWD

keep in mind when watching that the car that was taping was pretty much keeping up with us (it was a 98 GSX)

enjoy

oh yea...forgot to mention that my friend's talon is retarded. for some reason the brake lights are also wired up to the clutch. everytime he hits the clutch, the brake lights go on.

he supposedly hit fuel cut in his car when we raced. whatever....i had at least 3 cars on him by like 110-120mph.

I like that...."Holy **** he beat him! How the **** did that happen? What's wrong with Kyle's car!??"

Nothing's wrong with it, it's just slower than an SS is all. Heh.

What's been done to the Talon and what's been done to the GSX?

I believe the car to the far right was a GST.

The car in the left lane was a red gs-t spyder. he wasn't really racing....just pacing while rolling at 40mph.

The Talon has the following mods:
JRC front mount intercooler w/ short route piping
1g bov
Dejon Intake
Ported intake manifold
S-AFC II
Manual boost controller
Walbro 190 fuel pump
B&M short shifter
...shocks, struts, sway bars...
RNR exhaust

could be missing some stuff though

the GSX has:
Greddy upper and lower intercooler pipes
1g bov
mbc
full 3" RNR turbo back exhaust
JNZ fully built rance transmission w/ 4 spider diff
ACT 2600 clutch
...shocks, struts, sway bars...

and this is the car that ONLY beat me by a fender

my cobalt SS S/C has:
no mods

Sweeeeet. What did your buddies have to say about the SS when you spoke to them after the race? Also, can you beat the GSX from a roll?

I definately think i could beat the GSX from a roll...it will be mad close though. Our last race was neck and neck pretty much.

The reactions were pretty much what you heard on the video. "How the **** did he beat Kyle?!?!?!" They just don't understand....Now I'm just waiting to race my buddy with an S2000. He never wants to race, but always says his car is faster.

Most likely if they put a remote start system on it. Use the clutch without the key, kills the car. Most of the time, it's tapped into the brake wire. That's my guess anyways....

I've never heard of a remote start on any car causing the brake lights to fire when the clutch is pressed.

I just remember when I used to install them ages ago that we had to tap into the brake lights on an automatic. That way if someone were to break into your car with it running, the second they hit the brakes the car would shut off. I would think you would wire it to the clutch on a manual??? Like I said, just a guess.

well, good kill. but i have to say the guy in the tsi doesn't know how to drive and if he did hit fuel cut, then it's a no wonder you won. hitting fuel cut is like hitting a brick wall. pretty much throws you foward. you have to have the ecu upgraded in order to get rid of it in dsm's. anyways, good kill. he definitely doesn't know how to drive tho.
