My Appearance mods

Tinted windows (20% all around)
Painted front bowtie, headlights, and tail lights
Shaved bowtie on rear
LED 3rd Brake light
...and a decent wash job

These next two mods I've got to give credit to LittleSS cause he did them first
LED 3rd Brake Light

Painted Tail lights

I should have taken pics of mine when it was apart but didn't have my camera, but here it goes:

LED 3rd Brake light how to:

PARTS NEEDED:
-socket set
-LED 3rd brake light(just the light bar) from an Impala or I believe a Monte Carlo
-Hot Glue gun w/glue
-OPTIONAL soldering iron w/solder

THE INSTALL:
-Remove 3rd brake light from car (must remove carpet cover on trunk and remove 2 bolts)
-Take red cover off of 3rd brake light and remove the 3 stock bulbs.
-Route a pair of wires through one of the stock sockets
-Attach wires to LED board wires via soldering or splicing
-Now hot glue the LED board to the reflector side of the stock 3rd brake light.
-Put the red cover back on and re-install on vehicle.
-Last step is connect the other end of the wires you ran, to the stock wire harness via splicing or soldering.
-Test to make sure everything works

Glad you guys like!

yea you need the third brake light out of the impalas or monte carlos 2000-2003. best place to get them is junk yard or i can get you the part number if you want it from gm runs about 58 bucks.

just one note. when you pull the bulbs out you also need to pull the black piece which holds the bulbs off the back trust me makes it a lot easier to do the soldering. when i did them i soldered the leads from the board directly to the part which holds the bulbs. you also have to ohm out the holder to make sure you get neg to neg and pos to pos. it is a easy mod to do and adds to the looks of the car. IMO i think it looks great on the black cars

took me a couple days to do the headlights. The most difficult part I think would be getting the lens off of the light. I just used some semi gloss 500 degree engine paint.

Does anyone know if the rear chevy emblem is just double sided sticky tape or is it screwed on? I want to take it off and I notice a lot of people are doing it . I did this with my Si and would like to do it with my SS it looks cleaner. I don't want to attempt it if it is bolted on. but I do not see and bolts from the trunk any.

Your car looks sweet , nice job man I like to do what you did to the 3rd brake light , but use a clear lens . I think on a silver car it would almost be invisible when the brakes arent on .
