Finally got off my butt and started some preassembly for installing my Kenwood DNX8120 head unit. I used a wire labeller to label all the necessary wires to ease the installation.

Here are some pics.

Installed faceplate

Back of head unit

Preassembled wire harness

Power, ground and steering wheel connections

PAC adapter for steering wheel controls

GMOS-LAN-04 adapter and harness

Main connections to head unit

The job was a bit overwhelming at first, but I broke it down into steps and did the final install today.

Here are the pics of the head unit installed.

Powdercoated valve cover installed

Today, I finally installed a new valve cover, one that I had powdercoated earlier in the year.

Wow that looks great.
I just noticed your in Brampton ON. I lived there for my high school years. This is back in '95-98. I used to go hang out at Square One all the time...lol...I went to school at Heart Lake Secondary, even after we moved to Mississauga.
Anyways, the sedan is lookin good man. Are you tuned yet? DP and a tune are the easiest way to get some power

That's cool that your in TX now. I've lived in Brampton since 1997.

No tune yet, but I am thinking GMS1 and Trifecta, or a Superchips hand held or ....., I haven't decided.

I am going to purchase a catted Hahn DP, have already purchased a Hahn Exhaust, Hahn intercooler, Injen CAI and hard pipe. I have D2 coilovers to install, and am thinking of getting a TWM short shifter too. I'm sure there are lots more I can do, but it all depends on money.

Thank you. I work as a BAS/HVAC Service Technician by day, but also work at CTA Motorsports in web sales.

Thank you.

Not sure if I posted this pic, but here was the inspiration for the red valve cover on my SS.

Picture of my SRT4 engine bay.

I bought them from an ebay store, just did a search for Cobalt Carbon Fiber Pillars and there they were.

Since I'm off work due to a recent surgery, figured to take the cover off the SS and take some current pics. I decided to change back to the OEM rear spoiler (last week) so here's what the SS looks like with the SS coupe rear lip and OEM rear spoiler.

Hope you like.

and for reference, this is what it used to look like with the GM Accessories rear spoiler.
