New DD, E39 BMW M5

Allo,

Well I have sold my daily driver WRX and replaced it with a 2000 BMW M5.

Couldn't be any happier with this car, its incredible

I wanted something a bit more grown up and that would blend a bit better into traffic. Plus now I don't get every kid reving their engine or saying "SICK subi bro!" when they see it.

M5 is mostly stock, it has an AFE intake on it and its on BC Coilovers. Only thing I plan on doing is a muffler delete and a shorter throw shifter.

Ignore the goofy photo, my buddy insisted he take it, since I took a similar goofy photo of him when we picked up his Viper last year.

Sorry for the lack of photos, but its winter and by the time I got the car home it was already filthy. If we get a break in the snow I'll get it washed up and snap some photos.

Looks like a nice ride! The WRX looked good too, nice and tasteful. You crazy Canadians! (I can say that cause I live a few hours from Canada and have Canadian friends........... )

Yes I still have the Turbo Sunfire, it's tucked away in the garage for the winter while the M5 is serving winter duty LOL

The E39 is by far my favourite generation 5 series, looks wise. As far as I know, BMWs were more reliable at the time although parts would still be expensive. Nice find, can't complain at all about an M5 DD.

They are surprisingly cheap, I sold my WRX and bought this car for less.

I paid a bit more than some others were selling for, but it only has 78,000mi on it, dealer serviced untill 65,000mi and is more or less immaculate.

Thanks man, they are mine as well, damn you Clive Owen. Parts are decent online, unless its M specific parts, then they get real pricey. Honestly tho, if you shop around and do the work yourself its really not bad at all. Part for part, it was way more expensive to buy parts for my old GMC Yukon than it is for this thing, as an example.

Hahaha ya its getting a bit out of control. Sunfire is basically a drag car tho, it sees street duty once in a while....but its not very nice to drive...even when it was stock lol

This way my fun car is my everyday car

Haha thanks guys, ya the late 90's early 2000's are the best era of BMW by far. They got all weird after that as they changed out their lead designer and everything got way to complicated.

Post picture about owning one of the greatest 4 door sports cars ever made, half the post are about the boots I'm wearing lol

But since everyone wants to know, they are "Pajar Troopers", they are honestly the comfiest and best every day winter boots I've ever owned....lol

Looks clean! Just picked me up a new daily driver as well back in June. Had to trade my tbss in for it which sucks, but I like my little go cart lol
