anyone else trifecta tuned? I just programmed it (haven't datalogged and sent it in yet) and after I let off the gas, the rpms fall off to about 550 before going back up to idle. Is this normal?
my car does this sometimes too,and yeah im trifecta aswell, but im also having a missfire issue atm
no it only happens every once in a while, i dont know much about the hp tuners nor where they do them around here, ive heard of a shop but no clue what its called and i think its in maple ridge.. do u know theres a local ecotec fb page, its called VanCity Ecotecs, there a lot of people in there that are local and know a **** tone about our cars
If I want to pulley down from a 3.1 to a 2.8 or possibly go TVS in the future, what should I be looking at in terms of building the motor? Or should I be looking to start with a new block and go from there?
Im pretty sure this has been answered, but just gonna ask. Can the LAP engines fit these?

That noise is when cold. It kind of goes away, but not completely when warm. It sounds like its coming from the tensioner area.
I have already put a new tensioner pulley on (the other 2 I had were kind of chewed up), then I tried changing the tensioner shock with another I have and same thing still (the odds of having 2 dead ones I think is slim, but mayyybbeee). With a wrench on the tensioner nub, if while its running I push back on it (as if to compress it) by a little bit it goes away.
Side note: The belt on there is a stock belt, that has stretched a bit. With a 3.1 I can't even fit a stock replacement belt. Its too tight. Anyone experience that? (directed to 2.2 sc people....)
Any thoughts? lol
