not radio music! haha, to be honest; I listen to a bit of everything, except country. Sure I have my LMFAO or Deadmau5 moments, I love acoustic stuff, but my top favourite bands are August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, and Vanna. Hence why I just got awesome speakers and a sweet deck when I changed my audio system a few weeks ago..

yeah but because of bassists and double pedal, it just sounds messy and muddy with a sub imo.

at least with pop or techno or wtv, you get that constant boom, tss, boom tss... with hardcore music it just becomes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! hahaha

I have a speaker set with subs here on my comp..

maybe I'll rethink my sub idealogy then... but I really don't want anything too big! I snowboard a lot and I need the trunk space...

even a thin 10 inch sub would add a lot of depth. adding a sub isn always about adding bass, it just adds fullness to the sound at the very least. its hard to build a great sounding system without a solid foundation

it's all about having the right box too and the acoustics but i just have my kenwood speakers and with certain songs they can make **** rattle so it all depends on your set- up...

I'm liking my shallow mount pioneer in a stock box. It's not as loud as the 12" CVR I had before but it's plenty loud and the extra trunk space makes the slight downgrade more than with it.
