Photoshop Contest #11: Dodge Nitro

Another week brings another Photoshop Contest...

This week, I figured we could venture into the land of Dodge. This is one of those love or hate type of vehicles, but it has a lot of potential for modification, hence why it is the subject of this weeks photoshop contest. So I hope to see a good turnout this week as always.

PLEASE READ THE BELOW CAREFULLY!
...And pay special attention to the emboldened bits...

So here is how it works. Take the below image, and modify it in anyway you see fit. However, your final image must bear some sort of resemblance to the original photo. After all, its a chop contest, the goal is to change the original image into something new, something different. Change backgrounds, bumpers, colors, wheels, etc. Whatever you want to show off your abilities at photoshop on the image below.

Instead of posting your chop here in the thread, we'll adapt a system much like they have over at GMInsideNews.

Chopping will become anonymous. It's much better this way, so that a persons past abilities or popularity in this forum will not sway votes. I think it is much more fair, and prevents people from stealing others ideas. So instead of posting your image in this thread, we will do the following.

From now on, you will e-mail it to ssnetchopcontest@hotmail.com. Send your final image in a JPG file format. Try and keep your final image size at least 640x480px, larger is fine. Also, in the email, include the user name you use here on the forum. Do not, repeat, do not include your name or user name on any part of your photoshopped image.

Also, once you have emailed your entry, please PM me here at the board. Just send a brief message saying that you've submitted your entry, and I will send you a confirmation letter that I have received it. Over the last few contest, some contestants entries have not made it to my inbox in time. So doing it this way gives everyone piece of mind that their entry was successfully received.

The contest will be open for one week after the posting of this thread. After the one week is up, no more entries will be received. A new thread will be opened for voting, where each chop will be identified with a letter instead of a user name, keeping in check with the anonymity thing we're going for.

In that thread, people can then vote for their favorite chop, in a numbered list.

Example

1. B
2. C
3. A
4. H

More information on the voting procedure will be posted on that thread. So without further ado, here is the image of the week

Once more, DO NOT post your image in this thread, email it to the account listed above. Anybody who posts their image in this thread will have their image disallowed from the contest.

Good luck to all entrants. Contest ends on May 13th, 2007. All entries must be in by midnight (Pacific Time), May 13th, 2007. Voting will begin one day later.

Any questions? Feel free to PM me.

Well, seeings that I only got one entry for the contest, voting and results threads seem pointless.

So here is your winner by default...Curley B

This will be the last Photoshop Contest that I'll be putting on for a while.

I just can't justify devoting the time to posting, tallying votes, and posting results, etc, when we consistently get the same two or three people competing every week, and I'm lucky to even get that. So for now, it's on hiatus. Maybe towards the end of the summer I'll start it back up, maybe it will become bi-weekly, or monthly, because lets face it, interest has wained.

So for those of you who still love competing in weekly Photoshop contests, I suggest you head over to GMI, they put on a great one every week, with good competition, and great people.

I'd like to thank everyone who competed and would like to apologize that I am no longer doing it. I've been struggling to find the time to put these on, and with working more and more lately, I can't justify spending the time hosting these contests when in the end, only a few devoted members compete. I hope one day, we can bring it back, but until then, I'd just like to say its been fun, and I enjoyed the quality and devotion of those who competed.

Thanks,

-Gturismo1
