Pics of my current car 99' Alero GL3
Thanks everyone!
The wheels are 17" ADR Skye 7's, Intrax lowering springs, SLP exhaust, APOC CAI, SLP front strut tower brace, cutom red vinyl door inserts, iBook G4 cd/dvd, Lilliput 7" VGA touchsreen LCD custom molded into the factory stereo opening, custom molded trackpad on the center console lid, GPS Navigation using Routis running under virtual pc, iTunes for audio playback.
I really love this car but from a performance standpoint, it's just too expensive to modify to get the gains that I want.
And for all the haters out there saying that the Cobalt is just an overpriced Cavy, I think they're all smoking crack. I look at it this way, my Alero brand new in 98' was just under $21,000 this was for the mid-level model. No leather, no sunroof, no cd player, no performance oriented goodies. I got 16" wheels and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter with a 6 way electric drivers seat.
Even thought the Cobalt is slightly smaller (I think there's about 4" difference in wheelbase) front seat legroom is exactly the same, the cargo space is very similar, and I'm getting a vehicle that seems to be much more performance oriented almost fully loaded for about the same money. And the ecotec is a proven platform for building power. It remains to be seen how much more power will be able to be gained out of the SS S/C but parts should be much easier to come by and a lot less expensive than my current V6.
It's true, that there aren't many modded Aleros, but our site is constantly growing and gaining new members. http://invision.aleromod.com/index.php?
I'm currently a moderator over on the boards there.
I'll start a new thread when I have more info, but plans are already underway for hoods for the Cobalt. They will most likely be available in fiberglass and carbon fiber.

Here are the last couple of pics of my alero before I started the massive de-modding.
The first one has been voted first place for the cover of the Aleromod.com calendar that is being put together.

Black and white - I had a 20"x30" print made of this one, it's awesome.
