Project: Blaze Orange SS Turbo
#32
Peeled it all off for now.
Received the kit with two gallons of orange, but instead of just spraying it over the existing layer, I decided to do it right.
Peeled it, got two more gallons of white for base coat, and will do it properly with the spray gun once I have more time...
So for now I'll drive around black...

Go for vinyl wrapping if you want to do it ditch the plastidipped and go a stronger solution. It's not permanent (but can last up to 5-10 years without fail) and I hear it's cheaper than re-painting it.
Not sure how I feel about repainting it that color. It might make it hard to sell. Plastidip is cool, but I feel like it's not a good solution for more than a few months.
Vinyl wrapping is the next best thing

If you have someone do it - $500-600 to do the whole car, while vinyl is going into $1000-2000 at least... Labor is a lot more, and to do it yourself you need the experience more so when doing vinyl than plasti dip. Dip is easier and cheaper. And more forgiving....
Painting would be even stronger solution... but then again, why, if i can just dip it?

UPDATE: Was going to redo it with white base coat, but by the time I got to doing it I researched it more and found out it would fade too soon so figured I'd go with a different color.
Right now it's down to matte white and nimbus grey... Also flat color.
Traded my two firebelly orange gallons for two gallons of white and one gallon of gunmetal grey.... Also got some Pearl FX from Michael's Crafts store... Will play with the mixture. Will keep you guys posted.
