Recent shoot (Cape wingless LSJ association :) ) 56K! DEATH WILL ENSUE!!

Just got some pics from a little shoot i had with my friend with his 2006 Ion RL competition package and my SS/SC, both stripped of the factory equipped high rise spoilers. The owner of the RL works in a body shop so i get discount prices on body work Enjoy!

Damn I love those black wheels on the black paint. Is that powder coat or paint with a clear coat?

They are painted with a two stage PPG paint with clear in the same color code as the body.

the headlights will be painted black next along with eyelids.

stay tuned...

I like the driving ones. And I like the whole stealthy black look to it.

For the matched paint, did you use the GM spray paint, then some clear coat off the shelf? Sorry to thread jack, but I have a black SS/SC and I've been wanting to do that for a while.

Jimmys2007CobaltSS/C, take the pictures out of your post quote. They're already up top, we don't need to see them twice, lol!

thanks guys for the good words!

For the second time, the wheels were painted in a body shop with PPG paint and clear.lol

And as far as the trunk goes, the wing and lock are shaved completely using welded in metal patches and filled and smoothed and then painted over. there are no other holes in the trunk except for the lights. Since i have a body shop connection, it only cost me $200 to have everything on the trunk done and another $200 for the wheels.

Yes i will be painting the headlights soon with eyelids!

The tint is 35%. Legal for MA.

And yes, it will be on sportlines VERY soon.

Also, the ion RL who works in the body shop has his car in for paint as we speak. He is doing a custom two tone job with black on the top leaving the silver on the bottom and painting his wheels black like mine.

I'll post pics when its out of the booth.

he still has it. he tried filling in the channel on the bottom of the center section to see if that would keep it from shaking in the wind like all of our spoilers do. It didnt work as well as he hoped and it made the trunk heavy.

I'll talk to him tomorrow to see if he wants to get rid of it. you should see the two tone job and custom paint he's doing to the wheels. It's gonna look ****! in the meantime, he's riding around on my winter wheels and tires...looks funny as hell
