Sharkey's 05 ss/sc, 2015 look
so ive had my car for 7 1/2 years now. things have changed a bit since i got the car, but nothing much in the last couple years. it was lowered on h&r race springs when i bought it back in 2007. soon after i put in an ss/tc grill (i was actually the first one to do it, i managed to get a hold of one from crate engine depot before the ss/tc was at the dealers), and it stayed like that for a number of years. sometime around 2012 i got tired of the crappy ride and vibrations so i raised the car back up a bit with pedders springs. ended up later swapping the h&r springs into the rear to get the right stance. last year i refinished the wheels and got rid of the high-rise wing, and i added the rack in spring. here is how it sits now
the bike rack became a necessity, i got back into mountain biking last year and i was able to take the wheels off my hardtail bike and fit it in the trunk with the seat down. the end of last year i took the plunge and bought a new bike, as it does fit in the trunk its very hard to get in, its a big bike.
the cars just my daily driver now, it just rolled 200,000km. other mods are 2.7, 60lb injectors, dual pass with flow through tank and zzp heat exchanger, devils own meth kit, zzp intake, ported blower with plugged silencer holes, clear image midlength header and exhaust, hurst shifter, gmpp clutch, slotted/dimpled rotors and hawk pads. i think that covers most of it. the car dynoed at 275hp/260ft/lb. im planning a few more things when i get time, like an aem 320lph fuel pump, updating the meth kit with an aem progressive kit, new shift boot (stocker is falling apart), and some general matinance stuff. i just need to find time to do it all, with my work schedule and trying to build my porsche, i dont have much time left over for the cobalt.

the wheels were done at a wheel refinishing shop. they are paint, however its proper paint for wheels. same type of stuff thats used from factory.

I love it when people get roof racks and actually USE THEM! Looks great and as for the hardest place to reach, none of use want a trunk mounted rack. I had one and never liked the scuffs I constantly had to buff out.
