wow, all this over a chuckle i got out of some guy that I thought looked like a tool because generally ricers are imports........he lost to one. He talked **** before he could launch the car he owned.

all you have to do is answer the following questions:

1> Is it obvious from the title that he has something against "ricers"?
2> Are his launches bad? (regardless of how hard it is to launch it)
3> Did he lose to the civic?

If you answered yes to those three questions. Then you agree with me and the thread. Those questions are the only thing I was pointing out and personally amused by when I made this thread. So how are you going to tell me my OPINION is incorrect? You people are the ones who fail for coming in here and wanting to find any negative you could in my post because you wanted to be "that guy" that went against the point of the post and proved the OP wrong.

I said no to the second question... he techically did really well for that much power and no support on the back end or grip..

 

I'm going to have to defend Roadrage here. I don't care if he never drove a faster car. That mustang owner does not know how to drive. Don't even try to pull the same crap with me because I have driven 10 second cars and a close friend of mine has a all motor 9 second mustang. Did I mention he has about half the power of this dumb ass with 1k hp.

Look, no one is saying that the mustang sucks and ford blows and bleh bleh. Roadrage is trying to make a point that a Civic ran 10.45s @ 145mph and a Mustang with 1,000 rwhp lost to it. And the title of the vid is ricers go away. Its ironic that a civic crushed him.

To sum it up, just like Roadrage said. Anyone with enough money can pay to have their car built and put out crazy numbers. If you can't drive it or get the power down its worthless. But yes, that stang is pretty strong.

RWD is easy to launch, I have launched 800 rwhp with 1.7 60fts
AWD is even easier considering I can pull off a 1.4 60ft in my Syclone!
and FWD is the hardest to launch, but damn did the Civic ******* kill the stang.

the car isnt ownd by the poster , its a shop car ownd by cft. the poster of the vid seems like an ass, and lives in CA, CFT is in FL Central Florida Turbo. the name supra slayer is more of a joke than anything else since the shop works on all types of car , and started with imports(shows how much the the video poster knows...) in fact if you check the sites vids , you will see them beating up on alot of muscles in the 4cyl imports.

so dont hate on the car or the (real) owner. thoes were test runs, as they were dialing in the launch system. but feel free to bash the ignorant poster of the vid,it not gonna do much good tho...since the last time he logged in was in 2006.

I own a Syclone, and GN owners and Sy Ty guys normally like to hang together.

I understand what your saying, but Roadrage was simply saying the guy can't launch and its truth. At least in the vids we have seen.

when i was 15 i would have traded you in a heart beat for your scyclone... today not so much lol

 

if you watch the runs , it seems like to me they are working some bugs out. one of the runs sounds like they were using some kind of launch control . from what i can see , it looks like the turbo was to lagy to launch the car on those slicks ,not enough power to give it enough slip to get off the line smoothly. so it would launch bog...fall flat on face then spool,the launch with the anti lag proves that . you could hear the turbo build alittle boost , tiers catch,car hops up like its gonna take off but bogs due to the lack of spin and boost goes bye bye, then it spools one it gets moving.

the last run it looks like they switched to street tires (probably to allow the car to spin alittle with out breaking ****), notice the car spins off the line , but it stays in boost the whole run . but at the cost of traction. if I'm right about the street tires on the last run (rims look bigger than in the other runs and you can see the empty spacing of the 5 spoke stock wheels) 10.9@139 on street tires or even DRs is pretty damn good and shows me the driver knew exactly what he was doing

you don't just build a car , take out and it runs the best it can , it takes time to work the bugs out, and find out what works best.
