No need for them to "cool" the pistons. Plus you gain oil pressure. Trans is coming soon...stage 4 with a 4 spider instead of a welded diff. Still debating clutches...Quartermaster twin or Exedy twin.

Thats the best part about owning one. 4 door grocery getter! It's awesome hearing other peoples reaction when they get spanked by one..."Dude, what is that, a camry??"

Have fun with the twin disc. Sure, butter high RPM shifts but extremely harsh for DD.

Disagree homie. We just put an Exedy twin in my friends evo and I drove for two weeks in bumper to bumper traffic to and from work. Not a single complaint about it. Shifted with ease into every gear, low or high rpm's. Pedal was firm, but leg never got tired. He had a quartermaster in it already and that thing was like an on/off switch...once it grabbed it grabbed. The Exedy has sprung clutches, the quartermaster does not...major difference. Plus any other single clutch pressure plate combo bullshit wont be suitable.

Just for the record, Im not new to this. I know there's advantages/disadvantages to a twin disc. Why those manifolds over this manifold...yada yada yada. I do my research. I do my homework. I have an idea what works and what doesn't due to past experience. I just wanted to post what I was building. I appreciate all the compliments greatly. And on another note, this is not a DD by any means.

I'm not sure what twin disc my buddy ran in his 2g, but god that thing was an on off switch. I was under the impression most/all twin disc are the same until you pointed out exedy is different.

I'm not trying to "rag" on you for your choices at all. If it comes off that way it isn't, just stating my experiences i've had/seen. I commend your build and look forward to reading more about it.

What are your main plans for this, track car?

He probably had a quartermaster. You didnt come off that way. Everyone is entitled to their opinoin. I was just defending mine. Honestly, I am building it for my personal pleasure. Whether it runs 10's or 20's at the track, I dont care. As long as Im happy after its done, thats all that counts.
