Spare on SS S/C & Tire Wear

I got a screw in my tire and took off my wheel to get it repaired when I noticed the fronts were starting to show sign a rotation was needed. Side note, these have to be the lightest tire and wheel I have ever worked with. Even the 14" rims and tires on my Mazda pick-up weighed more! Anyways I got the tire patched and as I was rotating them I noticed the fronts are much more worn than the rears. See the pics. These tire have only 4,142 miles on them and I don't drive that hard.

I would not wait for the dealer to rotate at 6k miles like my service manager told me. I would go with 3k max.

Sorry the pics aren't that great. They were taken with my cell phone.

I did not drive my car with the spare on, and if I did I would have switched it to the back.

Yeah the spare seems a bit small to use safely. I had the same wear, its getting cupped on the fronts. Just rotate em every 3K, thats what i have been doing.

Yeah, now that I think about it I have mainly worked on trucks/suv's, but I think they still weigh less than the factory 16" or the aftermarket 17" rims my sister has on her '95 Eclipse. I could barely lift the 14" rims on my Mazda off the ground by myself. (I'm pretty weak, mainly skin and bone ) These are all with inflated tires.
Here is my truck w/ the 14" rims. That was the last time I saw her.
