ok so i am on stock hahn tune 15lbs boost 320whp and 290wtrq setting

he is bone stock 427R stage 3 (intake, exhaust, interior) he has 1600mi on it (my good friend) car and driver ran a 12.8 1/4


conditions light traffic 14 freeway 60* cold dry air...

MY car 3 deep me 205, passenger 170, rear seat 185...
HIS car 2 deep him 220, his girl eh 120 (maybe lol)

we went from 60-135ish both started in 3rd gear...

second vid was a 40-roll but my passenger started the camera after the honk (right after)

Who the hell starts a race at 55 in a Cobalt??? Haha.

I think that's a dead spot for both cars in 3rd, I'd rather see a real race where both cars start in their powerbands.

 

should have raced for pinks lol j/k sweet job man. Although i would also like to see the cobalt in its sweet spot.

ive raced a couple buddies with their LS1s from 55 and it is just no ****** good for these cars

 

what are you guys talking about 55 in third put me right in full boost and i obviously pulled him why are you hating

 

Not hating... just stating that 55 isn't a good spot to run from in 3rd.

Full boost or not... your RPM's would have been very low and you weren't making as much power... which is why he pulled you at first.

And I think 55 is a pretty bad spot for him as well. A 45 roll in 2nd would have been peak for both cars.

 

the cecond video was a 40 roll we just started recording late... jeez so 3800 rpm is a bad spot for the cobalt... the 40 roll you speak of puts you at 4000rpm

he pulled me in the 55 cause i wasent brake boosting and he was in his sweet spot i was not... we did multiple races dude its just the batteries in the camera died the only time he won was from a dig and i was catching him no prob but we ran out of road and shut down at like 80mph

calm down man no one is hating on you...i just have seen with almost all cobalts they fair WAYY better from a 40-45mph roll in second vs a 55 mph roll in third.

 

ok so that just shows how my cobalt is even faster than these s/c cars that must start in their sweet spot lol... you think thats racing driving around trying to get people to race you in your "sweet spot" i will be goint to fomoso dragway me and my friend jack (in the roush) and were gonna battle it out there on high boost and drag radials... that is real racing... but everyone in my build thread was screaming vids vids vids so vids is what i provided then people come on here and they dont like the way i raced and in all honesty it was actually 55 then we sped up to match speeds and went so it was about a 60 roll in third and as you should know he is superchargeds and his power came in instantly and i had to boost up and as soon as my boost came in i was all over that ass... end of story

my car is quite a bit faster as seen in the video and that roush is a fast car.

I say the following

Racing from that speed didnt prove much, it proved from 55 MPH on up you are faster than the guy you raced. However I have never seen a race start at 55.

I have roll raced for sure it is fun but it never proved anything more than I knew where my power was.

Race that roush from a dig that would be very impressive and a true indication of how far your car has come along.
