Top Speed: Stock vs. Tuned
Id bet that the ZZP turbo kit would crack 2 hundo. The nice thing is the LNF doesnt need meth to top speed runs like the LSJ . it looks like 140 is when drag really starts to assert itself. I wonder if the RPD will read past the analogs 160.... I sure as hell dont want to find out in my car!
...Its even cheaper. I had Vince do that for me. Stage 1 for my DD, and have tuned available when I want extra power, but I find I rarely need the extra power (and its noticeable difference over the GMS1)
How much of a difference?? I'm just trying to keep my warrenty for the time being. Fully built motor when all the pros get their kits and ducks lined up. By then.. most of the kinks and bugs should be out. .and some very reliable and most beastly LNFs will be out.
does anyone have a video of a tvs car doing that run? id like to see the turbo the tvs and the m62 side by side by side on the speedo of that run
and no that was nowhere near 200. need different gearring or much higher rev limiter to reach 200
at 7k in the lsj with stock 18's you only do 186
at 7500 in 5th i could do 199 assuming no interference from wind, drag, weight, tire tread resistance, nothing
my tires are a bit taller than normal

i dont think you understand what a fast car is or what the capabilities of our cars tuned on the stock turbo are. im not ragging on your car, but that wasnt fast. neither is mine. cool but that took forever to get to 160. its what i expected though. GM should have put a bigger turbo in our car stock.

Its nite and day even against the GMS1. You have to remember how the power comes on, GMS1 doesnt hit peak power until its up in the RPM band, Vince's tune is a torque monster, causing 2nd gear to bounce on the rev limiter if I just floored it and did not modulate. GMS1 just barely has some spin doing the same situation.
This is on the video comments...

there is no limiter u ******* tool, cobalts with the high rise are drag limited to 155 when stock because the spoiler is in fact operational with 20ftlbs of downforce starting at 90. stock balts with low rise or wingless, with enough umph can get to 160 with road. tuned balts high rise, low rise or wingless can hit 186 with stock tranny. get your **** right be4 u say anything about a balt

hey, i have stock tune files for all year balts (lsj and lnf) and for the lnf, the speed limiter FROM THE FACTORY is set to 155, therefore will not exceed that speed no matter how little drag you have. the op's cobalt(which i have personally ridden in mind you) is wingless and has both stock tune and trifecta tune on it simultaneously(turned on and off with a switch).

thats not true at all. the caliber srt4 has a bigger turbo, and it does just fine. alot more potential than our stock turbo

Not a chance
