A)He said he lost control and woke up to that, not a lil fender bender. dont even ask if hes okay or anything you just call dibs on parts lol..
B)really highly doubt both lights and the charge pipes made it out without getting smashed or bent.

I am fine, hardly hurt, just a few sore teeth, nose, and seatbelt bruise. I walked home shaken up, and the cops were helpful. No airbags at all. It was a suv in the middle of the road, and i swerved left to miss him, I must have over corrected and lost it. Hit into a curb then up into a poll. The front wheel looked to be torn right out of the transmission.I don't remember the second before impact, or how long I was knocked out for, police seemed to arrive right away, buy I might have been knocked out for a bit. I'm lucky to be alive, let alone unhurt.
I'm looking at someone selling a sport red tintcoat sedan for about 16 Grand. Same year, same miles and extended warranty. I am hoping to grab my retrofits, somehow they both survived, hopefully pull all my speakers out and find my ipod tomorrow. I want my R1 rotors and springs back off this car, idk if they could make it happen tho...

yea im worried about these air bags too. a couple years ago i had a accident and crashed my front end and for some reason the air bags didnt deploy....worries the hella out of me

 

yea it is and makes more sense now thought u meant a person in the middle of the road and yea its weird davids didnt either when he crashed at the track but cobalts seem to be safe cars lol

 

i wish my airbag woulda deployed...totalled out my car and id be rollin in a ss/tc right now lol

Have you seen where our airbag sensor is in the front? For this car, the way he hit, and where he hit, I'm actually not surprised that the airbags didn't deploy. Those shock sensors have to be hit a certain way.

That being said, I'm very sorry about your car, I'm glad you're okay.

 

i see your point. it dont look like it had much of a head on impact, just looks like the bumper got ripped off.

That is a shame another ss sedan totaled, i did not even know they made an ss sedan when i purchased my balt, their is a white one around the corner from me now..

Air bags in american cars dont deploy so that insurance companies dont total cars after an accident or make it harder haha...conspiracy ?!

Glad to hear your ok. The 09 sedan your looking at i seen it on craigslist, the dealer is only about 20 min away from where im at. It looks pretty good.

 

Two major wrecks in our 08 and the bags didnt deploy. Im beginning to think there is something up with them. Ours hit so hard this last time, insurance is saying its totaled. I drove it last night, and I just dont see why they dont slap a new quarter on it.

Man, you really should read all the posts. He said he woke up when the emergency vehicles were arriving, that means he was still in the car. And it was not a direct frontal impact, airbags shouldn't have gone off, especially the passenger one since he was alone.
