Turbo Civic vs SS/TC

Civic had a 10 second headstart and I caught up in less than three laps! Enjoy

Nice driving-loving the videos!

I'd like to see what J. Heinreichy could do at the 'Ring in a Staged TC on a dry track.

and I thought I was rough on my t/c... lol

but it is nice to see at least one of us tearing up a circuit, since GM put so much research into making it a handling beast...

Do you have to be a member of SCCA or other automotive club to get some track time like this?

Not if you do touring wich you just drive around the thack with other cars. When I was in elkhart lake wi I did the touring. Me a vette. New camaro and turbo civic just held back A LOT so we hade some room and be have to WOT. I'm signing up for the scca next year so I can do actual road racing. AutoX is too confusing for me... too many damn cones lol

I always ask people to join their local SCCA (for us it is CASC) club to get involved in on track activities.
For normal 'open lapping' days you do not need anything, just a weel maintained car. Rules for passing and a novice/beginner group is usually in place to feep things safe.

For SOLOSPRINT (similar to TIME ATTACK) we need a C- License, but it is more like a fishing license. To get on a track like Mosport GP it is HIGHLY reccomended that you do some sort of school with incar instructing first.

check out Solosprint to get an idea
http://www.soloontario.com/about_solo.html

hope this helps
