Twincharged video! (evolution dyno day!)
hey all here is a few clips of anthonys car! that thing is sick! his car was running hot but still is way faster then us lol :p its visually fast not just sounding it!
enjoy!

Did he say only 284 hp? If that is all he is getting out of a twincharged car then I am going to have to say that is not impressive at all. I really hope he is making more power than that.

there is more factors he only went up there to get some more info so he could tune it more

i asked him what kind numbers hes like crap and he was happy about it which means he knows there is more work to be done! but think hes pushin the same boost as the pulley kits and making more hp
gotta love that turbo!
Where did he pick the kit up from, 284 on 15-17 psi safely and seems to be reliable (so far) is a good deal to me, i love turbo more than a SC and to have both is priceless to me, and his set up looks clean.
two gun salute to him

That's good that his clutch is will be gone though. That means he's making a lot more power than stock, right?
I think what he's doing is very inovative and it's good for our community to have guys like him making ground on getting more power from our cars.
Nice work so far, congrats.

That would be unique. Hope it all goes well for him.

I hope there is a lot more power hidden in there. It is cool to say that your car is twincharged because not many people do it but the question is WHY? Why would a consumer go this route to only acheive less than 300hp when you can probably get the same with all bolt-ons and GM stage 2.
Is this dyno before or after he walked the c5 zo6 corvette, because 284 hp doesn't add up when running with a Z06 thats weird I thought he was putting down over 350 it is a bit of a let down though. But good run man.
CVenom had stated on the RL boards that for the dyno, the hood had been closed (I don't know if there was a fan, as I haven't watched the video yet) and besides suffering greatly from heat soak, the car was bleeding boost which was limiting it to lower numbers as well. Being Mark from PSI-Fi said that this twincharged RL kept up with his 440whp Audi S4, I'm going to assume that there is quite a bit more power in that set up, just need to get it back out with tuning.

I could make a cd with a blower sound for you to put into your stereo for your next car... it doesn't make any hp, but hey! The sound will be there!
Get that sucker reflashed and lets see what it can do!

Yea twinecharged said(on the redline forum) he was only running 15psi of boost for the dyno. So he is making 284hp on 15psi you guys with the intense kits are making 250hp with 18psi of boost......lets see now as soon as he fixes his small problems and runs 18psi of boost he will be right at 300hp or above to the wheels. And you are saying only 284hp????
The intense kit doesn't make 270hp to the wheels aren't the only 2 dyno's we have of it from the same dyno shop??? I think some Redlines dyno'd theres with it and only made around 240-250hp. And plus the stock dyno for the 270hp car was like 230hp so he made 40hp with 6 more psi of boost.

I was only making about 15psi on the dyno and on the road shortly after the dyno. The car felt like a dog and the air fuels were off due to the low boost. The car was tuned for more boost. After getting on 95 the engine bay aired out and the car picked up again making about 18psi. To combat this problem I am installing a hood scoop to supply fresh air to the filter and of course adding a boost controller. Also the tune on the car is a half assed one just to suffice until the EBC came in. Once the Electronic Boost controller is installed everything changes. We are talking twincharge here. Boost control is everything and I was just going off what the wastegate actuator and blower would put out. I had no means of external control. Load and heat make changes in the out come of boost. I can't tune if the boost is high in cold weather and low in hot (a swing from 15-21psi) I chose to tune for the higher boost with an air fuel of 11.8:1 @ 21psi. Now when I am running 15 psi I am seeing 10:1 air fuel if not richer. Once the boost controller is on there, I can set a gateway pressure of 19psi and no matter what the car will hit 19psi and stable off at about 21psi. This will set me up for a better tune. This is why I was reluctant to really dyno. One minute the car rocks then next it is soso.
nice man keep up the good work ... also im sure everyone would like to know how much such a kit has put you back and please describe if possible any of the issues you had during the initial setup

The answer is simple, you may not may a ton more power than the eaton can put out alone, but you'll have a setup that has the benefit of both power adders. I also believe that once he can figure some more things out and actually tune our ecu he will make awesome power.
Well let me see
Manifold was one made for Chevy but Chevy didn't pick it up. It places the turbo inlet on the opposite side (Driver's side) of what I would prefer it to be (Passenger's side). This one places the filter in the tight area where the heater hoses are. The manifold was in the neighborhood of $500. The casting is a very good 4-2-1 setup and I never had any leak issues.
The O2 housing came off a Nissan SR20det. It was laying around our shop from another project and worked well for me. This part is also cast and seals well. I think I seen it for about $50
The exhaust and chargepipe I made so I really can't put a price on them. At a muffler shop you may get them for about $500
The Turbo can get expensive I seen them go for anywhere between $1200-$1700. This is a Garrett full ballbearing turbo.
The fittings and silicone are about another $100
The 4 fuel injectors are about $350
The part that Mark and I developed to seat the injectors is about $350 but that includes setup cost. Production pieces would surely cost much less.
The SMT6 is about $250
The fuel line is about $25
Head gasket is about $120
Head studs are about another $125
Parts to make the traction bars were only $70
Hood scoop is $20
E-boost is $400 range
Keep in mind these are guesses on the prices. I personally didn't pay anywhere near this much because either my cost is MUCH less or I made it.
TOTAL:$4060
