White is the most reflective color. Black is the most mirrow like. Black absorbs light/heat and white refelct light/heat

And yes, its perfectly safe for your clear coat. (not your wax though lol)

Yah it is, its high noon right now.

I swear..... I seriously might be a hazard for other people on the road right now. They could be blinded by the white!!!
or you can just be like me and pretty much never wax your car. I've had my car since Oct. 06 and i've yet to wax it, lol. I'm gonna wax it with some of my meguiars gold class before I hit the beach though. I always glam my cars up before I head to Myrtle. Nothing like profiling along the strip!

its not the color that makes a car look "shiny" its the clearcoat.
the clearcoat on a black car will reflect the mirror image, and the black color behind will absorb light that goes THROUGH the clearcoat....thereby making it mirrorlike, because the clearcoat reflection isnt ruined by light being reflected by the paint coat.

white is the opposite....and will reflect lots of light, but unless its in a low light environment, the reflective quality of white paint will ruin the mirror "shinyness" of the clearcoat, because alot of light that is going through the clearcoat...is being bounces back out through the clearcoat...

basically im just expanding on what you said hehe

that being said. I love how my black car looks when its shiney.
but i would trade it, and my left ********, for a white ss/sc

lol

HAHA!

I agree. Black is an awesome color for a car, but whenever I see a white 'Vette, I nearly **** myself. White cars/paint when taken care of correctly, will just be a tinge better than black in my opinion.

Yeh especially in a place like South Dakota where it's windy almost everyday. One of these days I'm going to spend the time to make it look real nice. Just gotta go out and buy the good ****.
