my dad is buying me a nikon d5000 the reason i got this is because i also like the high def video so i was wondering if there are any vidoes or what ever for techniques and terminology definition because im really wanting to get good at photography thanks for the help

 

Get a book, or take a class and get the basics down...then experiment a bit and ask for some critique...the D5000 Is nice....same sensor as the D90, but a few less pro features.
