its a cad thing you wouldnt understand . lol
We're currently updating from AutoCAD 2005 to the latest release.... had no reason to update til Boeing decided to sent a newer dwg file to us.
We use AutoCAD because it work in our file archive better.
Also, we are running Inventor 2008 for anything that requires parametric design... then I export it or copy it over to a dwg.

At home I run Solidworks 2008.... just because I prefer their finite element and CAM add-ons.

Desault has seen to it that Solidworks kicks Inventor every year. They've also been in the parametrics sided of CAD for many years longer.

solidworks is about 3 levels under the industry standard stuff.

i've learned 3d mostly on CATIA and a little on DX, but catia is far better than solidworks/solidedge, IMO.

is inventor fairly easy to use?

3 leveles under standard ... Never used SWPro huh? What's your definition of standard then?
I learned on catia, and if you are on a tight schedule, SW is your software.
(In other words, less flash, more go)

Nothing right now. I'm at home because our crew was working to fast and caught up to other crews. Then we got froze out because of bad weather.
Here's my desktop anyway.
