My dad was suppose to give it to someone from church about a month ago. The lights are Astra retrofits that are now scuffed and hopefully it will buff out. When I turn this into the insurance company I am going to tell them that the body shop will not be touching the lights period! I will have them fixed by a trustworthy/experienced person.

It is definately fixable. There are no cracks on the light so that is a positive. The outer lens was in need of replacing due to the amount of mileage between two cars that they have been on.

I will have to check that out with my parents, thanks for bringing that up.

yeah, damn... at first I too thought you dodge a bullet, but sadly not. At least your lights didn't get completely messed up! They are sick btw, congrats on getting them.

My parents talked to the insurance company about homeowners covering it but since it was an act of god I will have to make a claim on my car insurance. My deductable is $500 and my rates wont go up. Tomorrow I will have someone replace the windshield so that I can drive it to the bodyshop that I want to go to. At least the car will have a nice wax job before I put it away but the price of $500 is pretty steap.
