There is some videos of SRT-4's losing to N/A 96, 01 Cobra's, Mini Vans etc. Ouch.

When you do win it's usually because you dropped $4-5k on a car that still unfortuantly is a Neon after the days over with.

I'm proud of what I drive and could care less what you think.

Are you serious? You take things too personally. For one this thread was lacking information that was the reasoning for outcome of this race. Weather he would have won even if his car was not f'ed up is not even important. its just the fact that he wouldnt get pulled like he was a stock SRT in that vid. Also the is probably not more than $3k in the SRT. The base AGP kit is $1600 + supporting mods. Hell I have $315 in performance mods, thats all. Get over yourself.

Here's my question... if it was so clear that the Mustang would come out victorious, why race five more times? Seriously, how dangerous is that?

 

why can't people just accept defeat. Seems that there is always excuses as to why people in x car lose. Self, maybe the Mustang won because the guy in the SRT-4 Couldn't drive very well. You don't know, you weren't there. Just because the Mustang pulled that hard, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Who cares what the reason is that he won by as much as he did, he still won, and no one cares for excuses otherwise. The SRT-4 lost, and he has to deal with it.

This ain't no dyno, variables don't matter. If your car's running too damn hot for your liking, don't race it. If your not tuned, don't race it. If your tires are too bald, your turbo is not in prime range, your fat-ass friend is in the car weighing you down, etc. etc. etc, DON'T RACE IT. IF YOU DO RACE IT, DON'T HAVE EXCUSES WAITING AT THE END WHEN YOU LOSE.

The Mustang in the second video wasn't even trying. They most likely didn't even know the guy so what mods did it have? The best I have seen a 100% stock 2004 Cobra run was 12.69

We spent $1,300 on it and now it's a stock looking 570+rwhp monster.

As ignorant as it sounds I still go with 90% of the people out there when they say it's still a Neon. Well because it is just " still a Neon " to us and anyone else.

Any car ugly or not can be made fast, I myself have no more respect for a modded civic or Neon than I do for a stock one.

As for SRT-4 vs Cobra, sorry SRT-4

 

You guys can complain all you want about who's faster... Who cares. I have a base cobalt, I had a 99 neon before this. I would personally take an ss or an srt-4, I love them both. Really all it is, who-ever has more money is the fastest, so once again who cares. Everyone enjoy your car!!

 

i see what you're saying and agree, to an extent. BUT, just to play devils advocate.....

if you mean road racing and daily driver w/ AC and all those comforts, then usually the man with the most money will win...BUT, if you're talking straight line accelleration, 1/4 mile times, there are a lot of very skilled engine builders that can turn an old car thats been sitting in the back yard into a 10 second monster, for probably half of what it costs to buy an SRT, SS/SC, Cobra or LS1.

again, this car wouldnt have AC or all the comforts of a daily driven car that most of us enjoy, but it would be faster in a straight line. just playing devils advocate, not trying to start an arguement.
