I'm preparing to buy a 2005 SS/SC with around 30,000 miles on it...what are some problems or just little issues these cars have that i should look out for.

power steering supercharger cluster gauge clutch so far the problems ive had with my 05 ss/sc but im getting wierd noises i think my trans or something in the engine

 

i bought mine with 30,000 mils and only thing that was bad was the tranny and timing chain was stretched, fixed under warranty and runs flawless.

 

05 ss/sc here. I havent had any mechanical problems and I drive spirited. Just peeling door panel leather, shift pattern broke off, and some other minor stuff that was covered under warranty.

 

Look for: Blown Cat, clutch slipping, Tranny problems/wheel hop problems, and that's about it. It really depends on who drove it before. But these are all some common problems with lsjs that I've never had.

2nd gear was grinding since day 1...and it progressively got worse. Replaced and now never a grind.

water in passenger floorboard during AC, rotors warping every 3k miles, belt squealing due to 6+ quarts of oil blowing out on the belt, chipping trim panels, passenger window going down slower than driver's side, shifter trim piece (top) popping off, other than that good car.
