07 needs new exhaust????

I have been hearing this rattle in my exhaust when I take off and shifting when I get to about 3000 rps for about a month. I work for a dealership so I let them know what was going on but it wasn't that severe so I didn't do anything about it. The noise has gotten so bad that it will rattle at idle now. I had it in for service today, and turns out that my resonator is completely gone so they have to replace the whole exhaust. The cost on the exhaust (which is covered by my warranty) is about $715!!! I did a little research and found out that I can get the GM performance exhaust with the tip for $560. I called GM and asked them if they could just put that exhaust on instead, I have to wait to hear from my district manager from GM tomorrow and see what he says. I will keep you guys posted.

Just get the GMPP Sport Exhaust and be done with it...takes less than an hour to install yourself.

That would be a nice offer getting the GMPP one for free.

I don't want to pay for it, I want them to put that exhaust on instead of putting the new stock exhaust on.

I'm hoping they will do it. Me selling the chevy cars and telling them if I can't trust the little parts on the car I drive, how can I sell them??

If you can get the GMPP for free, more power to you. That's about the only way I'd get one at this point. Just can't see spending $600+ on exhaust and install...

that was my thought, they need to install a whole new oem exhaust and it costs more than the performance exhaust.
