07 SS/SC Issues

okay well I've been having some issues with my SS the past couple days. The radio does not work when the headlight switch is in auto, but if i turn it on the radio works. When the switch is in auto the radio displays the CD emblem and another emblem that looks like a phone.

I disconnected the battery and it didn't do anything. any ideas?

There is also another problem...

I always warm the car up before work..so I go outside to start it..nothing. The starter clicks but the engine doesnt turn over. Yes I know, the battery must be dead, but here is my question..from what? I didn't leave anything on overnight, it was driving perfectly normal last night, the charging light hasnt come on, no CEL..nothing. Also when I put the key in and turned it on, Service Air Bag came up and the ABS light came on..could this be from the battery dying? Anyone have any ideas?

hummm sound like some crazy electrical problems.

Is there some reason why you cant to it to the dealer? I know the 07's came with a decent warranty.

I live over an hour away from the dealer now and the car is stuck in a parking lot. I'm going to jump it tonight when i get home from work and go from there.

Anyone have access to some wiring diagrams they could post up for me please?

thanks everyone for the info and help..i appreciate it

anyone? also i have one more question, is the power wire to the headlights always hot? The passenger side ballast for my HID's has a grounding issue and shocks you if you touch it.

The power wire to your headlights should not always be hot, sounds like there's a problem there. And your body control module is basically one of your cars' computers... controls a bunch of stuff like lights, chimes. I really don't know much about it in my own car, let alone the Cobalt so I can't really help ya there.

The Body Control Module controls Every thing not related to the Drivetrain. Airbags, radio, lights, DIC, Odometer, door chimes. You definetly have a Electrical/BCM Issue. Take it to the dealer.

The cheapest way to deal with it is to start testing fuses...that always solves my self induced electrical problems.
