okay, so i did a search, and found a lot of idle issue threads, but all of them were SC cars, and not really specifically my same issue.

first, the fuel thing. if i sit at a red light for a good while, my fuel gauge will just all of the sudden drop like a 1/4 tank. itll slowly start going back up as i start to drive. obviously, stuff like this is normal in some cars. but a 1/4 tank? that's a little extreme.

2nd, lets say im driving on the highway at 60 - 80ish mph, and i take the off ramp and throw it in neutral, my RPMs will will go down and dip to like 300 - 500 ish, and bounce back up to normal 'idle' RPMs. It doesn't really sound or feel like my car is bogging, but then again im at high speeds getting off the highway. BUT, it's actually caused my car to just completely die twice so far.

also my car has had some weird issues where it'd just randomly start saying 'power steering' and 'service airbag' and then some electrical things won't work. like my boost gauge, steering wheel buttons, air conditioning. <-- this hasn't happened in a good while though, but it seemed to happen more when it was really hot outside.

I'm curious if all of these issues are related. Hopefully i was descriptive enough. fuel issue? gauge cluster?

any help is appreciated, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Alternator taking a crap or poor grounds?

 

did you get your power steering motor replaced under warranty/recall yet?

yeah, the alternator....get that tested.

 

when i first got the car i looked into that recall, but when they ran my vin it never popped up for my car
