08 ss/tc recall question

I went to pick up a part today at chevy and they told me that there was a recall on my car, something about replacing the front rotors because they are causing vibration in the steering wheel.....now my question is i have an intake, catless downpipe, and hahn intake, no tune yet... but will they see that and be dicks about it like note it in the computer? or will it void my warranty?

I would only be worried about the DP. You should always have one with a CAT to switch out.

That wont void your warranty. Usually they dont care about aftermarket intakes.

If it's an 08 there was a recall out for a specific VIN range saying it came from the factory that way. So unless yours came with those mods you're in the clear

depends on the dealer. my dealer had no problems with any mods of mine, which included intake, full exhaust, stage 2, strut tower brace, ingalls, 3rd gen projectors with hid's in head and fog lights, while my car was leased. they knew about the performance stuff, didn't care. then again, my dealer is a good dealer and takes care of its customers, nothing like some of the horror stories i've heard here! lol.

i had a bad experience with a dealer. took my ss/sc to get a engine light checked out and the whole car smelled like smoke. i complained. they cleaned the crap out of it but the guy was questioned about smoking in the car. he denied it of course but was later fired for more complaints about it. lets just say i never went there again

There was either a TSB or recall about front rotors on 08s within a certain VIN range...let me see if I can dig it back up and I'll edit this. I fall in it but have 0 vibrations...therefore I'm leaving them alone for now and see if they do start to have issues .
