09 LNF losing power?

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my car just randomly losing power, its like the car just died or the battery isn't providing power to the car, I have to open and close my trunk manually to get power back and after I get power back the clock is completely reset I don't if anyone can help or if someone has had a similar problem. (have not had any problems with the battery but might be a possibility?)

Second when going over bumps or uneven surface my steering column makes a shaking noise not sure if this is normal or not.

Thanks in advance guys.

So the car shuts off when you hit bumps? and you have to open/close the trunk to turn it back on?

I'll bet you have 3,001 keys on your keychain, which causes the key to rotate backwards, shutting the vehicle off. I've read a few threads like that . . . believe it or not.

1. Key thing is correct, happened to me before.
2. If opening the trunk is the only way to restart it, you more than likely have a short issue.
3. Steering column rattle is a COMMON issue. If under warranty go for service asap and they'll replace it. If not then you'll be SOL paying for it out of the pocket or ignoring it. I'm on my 3rd steering column on my LS and on 2nd on my SS at the dealership AS WE SPEAK getting it warrantied for 3rd steering column because of that rattle issue. 3rd LS column has held up for several years now, 2nd SS column only lasted 2 months.

Here's a thread to check out, I posted invoices in there so you can see how much it will approximately cost you...

The problem is only when I'm out of the car and had just shut it of a little while prior, have had nothing happen when the car is on and going.

Thanks Aleksey for the steering column problem fix glad it's a common thing and can be fixed even if it's numerous amounts of times
and I think it might be short somewhere because it doesn't happen all the time.

Opening and shutting your trunk fixes it?

Your battery is in the trunk. Loose cable? Loose ground some place?

I checked all the connections to the battery and they all seem fine, ill run through the car when I have some free time at some point and see if there is a loose cable somewhere.
